Participants that are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Needed for Focus Group on Wearables and “Smart” Technologies

Georgia Tech researchers are conducting focus groups on your use of wearables and personal “smart” technologies. These may include health and fitness trackers (Fitbit, Jawbone), smart watches (Samsung Gear, Pebble Watch), and other wearable assistive technologies. We also are interested in your use of “smart” home technologies such as Amazon Echo and Dot (“Alexa”), Google Home, Nest Thermostat, Philips Hue Lights, and others.

Details:

  • Date: Wednesday, March 28, 2018
  • Times: 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. OR 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.               
  • Place: In-person at the Georgia Center of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (4151 Memorial Drive, Suite 103-B, Decatur, GA 30032)

To be included, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have owned or used a wearable or similar “smart” device for at least three (3) months
  • Have a hearing-related disability

Each participant will receive a $40 cash stipend.
