  • Inclusive Emergency Lifelines (D1) develops devices to ensure emergency systems are timely and responsive to people with disabilities
    • Task 1 Develop proof of concept prototype for notification of WEA alerts by optimizing alert attention signals
    • Task 2 Improve message content delivered over smart platforms by incorporating ASL video messages, symbology, and interfaces for wearable devices to meet complex communication needs and leverage social media.
  • Wirelessly Connected Devices (D2) focuses on tools for wireless accessibility.
    • Task 1 Wearable devices and connectivity addresses the design of accessible and facilitative wearable devices usable in a variety of environmental, user, and social contexts.
    • Task 2 Advanced auditory assistive devices develops advanced auditory interfaces to support gesture and audio pairings, navigation and wayfinding through next-generation wireless technologies.
  • App Factory (D3) develops a variety of software applications and transfers solutions that provide access and utility to consumers with disabilities.
