Illimitable 2019 Inclusive Design Thinking Workshops

May 2019 - Wireless RERC researchers joined Illimitable (illimitable.org) to assist in planning and conducting a series of workshops and meet-ups that teach inclusive design thinking and bring together community members, advocates, engineers, entrepreneurs, and researchers. The team has completed two full-day workshops (April 6th and April 13th), where participants were assigned specific challenges from the community to solve and followed design thinking steps to arrive at a concept solution. The sessions included a panel of disability advocates, a panel of experts from industry and the academic community (including Wireless RERC members), and a series of presentations about design thinking steps to guide participants.

This series of events will end with the final Accessibility and Inclusive Design Meet-up on May 11th for an open discussion about technology and accessibility in the Atlanta community. Learn more and register for this event.
