Annual ISLAND Conference Hosted Virtually

September 8, 2020 – The 11th Annual Inclusion in Science Learning A New Direction (ISLAND) conference happened virtually this year (September 12th). Independence Science organized this year’s event and Princeton University hosted it. Princeton University’s Office of Technology, Center for Complex Materials, and Campus conversations on Identities all provided some of the financial sponsorship for this event. The ISLAND conference provided a space for academics, industry leaders, and educational researchers to network and discuss effective mechanisms they have employed to support the inclusion of people with disabilities into STEM fields of study.
