John Bricout is task leader for Engaged connected futures research where he leads a team of researchers at the University of Texas, Arlington (UTA). Dr. Bricout is the Associate Dean of Research at UTA. His research focuses on social technologies and community participation for people with disabilities, particularly (1) the accessibility of online communities (social media platforms, e-governance, online education, and telework), and (2) the ethical design and deployment of socially assistive robotics in learning communities to enhance user capabilities.
